NEW LULLABY ALBUM TAKES ON HARD ROCK PIONEERS BLACK SABBATH Latest Release from Awarded, Acclaimed & Chart-Making Rockabye Baby Label Out on 7/13
(Los Angeles) Can the devilishly heavy metal of Black Sabbath be transformed into soft and gentle music ideal for baby's nursery? Of course, when it's the latest album of soothing rock song instrumentals from Rockabye Baby, the innovative children’s music label that has made the music of such loud and proud artists as Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and AC/DC a hit with cradle rockers and the parents who love them. With the July 13 release of Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Black Sabbath, the songs of these influential founding fathers of hard rock become a little one’s best musical friend.
How do they do it? The sweet and tender sounds of glockenspiel, vibraphone, Mellotron, harps and bells turn down the volume from an 11 to a 2, helping little devils drift off to a restful slumber at naptime or bedtime. The creative approach has made Rockabye Baby a hit with the media, parenting organizations and publications, celebrity moms and dads, and rock-loving parents.
Next time baby gets fussy, parents no longer need to choose between "Heaven and Hell" when it's time for slumber, as these Black Sabbath lullabies transform the nursery into a "Planet Caravan" to induce a trip to happy slumberland. Thanks to the musical "Changes" that make the heaviest metal into baby-blanket-comfy lullabies, these instrumentals are ideal for tender young ears.
Hailed by Rolling Stone as "the heavy-metal kings of the '70s," Black Sabbath helped kick-start and define the genre when they started out in 1968 and launched singer Ozzy Osbourne into solo superstardom. The late Ronnie James Dio (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010) also had a successful solo career. The group has sold millions in America, were named the "Greatest Metal Band" of all time by MTV and ranked second in VH1's list of "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock." Numerous major rock bands that followed in their wake over the next four decades have named Black Sabbath as a primary inspiration. "Iron Man," their signature song, was prominently featured in the 2008 blockbuster film Iron Man, earning the band a new generation of devoted fans.
Rockabye Baby created an ongoing revolution in children's music by making albums adults enjoy as much as children, while earning awards from such influential parenting organizations as iParenting.com and the National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA). The label recently debuted on three Billboard charts with its exclusive, limited-time compilation CD for Starbucks called Rockabye Baby! Baby's Favorite Rock Songs. The disc hit No. 3 on Billboard's Kid’s Albums chart, No. 111 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and No. 18 on Independent Albums following its March 23 release (all on sales solely at Starbucks stores).
The label's catalog already boasts albums of songs by The Beatles, Queen, Bob Marley, U2, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Green Day, The Ramones, Metallica, Radiohead, AC/DC, The Cure, and many more. It just released Lullaby Renditions of Kanye West, and coming later this year are albums featuring the music of Elvis Presley, Bon Jovi, and Pearl Jam.
